Book Giveaway #74: The Miracle Equation
Title: The Miracle Equation: The Two Decisions That Move Your Biggest Goals from Possible, to Probable, to Inevitable
Author(s): Hal Elrod
An apology could be due. Not from me but from the author Hal Elrod. Let me quote from an earlier review of his book – Book Giveaway #56: The Miracle Morning (3/13/2020):
“In the book, he shares his 60 minute formula – S.A.V.E.R.S. – Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing. It is as simple as that. Create your own powerful morning routine and bring the elusive “living the life of your dreams” to reality.”
The Miracle Mornings have benefited millions. The author reaffirms about his earlier book:
“The Miracle Morning is now practiced daily by hundreds of thousands of people in more than one hundred countries.”
Now, the apology is that the Miracle Morning is NOT the COMPLETE MIRACLE EQUATION. After a while, the energy might start fizzing out in your Miracle Mornings. No doubt, The Miracle Morning 60 minutes “S.A.V.E.R.S.” formula is a great start – you can clearly see evidence of ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE in your daily life and the mornings even help you achieve a lot.
Life keeps expanding. Isn’t there always a BIGGER MOUNTAIN calling you – and, anyway – how long can you keep ignoring your own yearning to EXPAND MORE, BE MORE and CAUSE MORE?
Many of us REACH THE STAGE OF “NEW POSSIBILITIES” yet there are often no corresponding massive consistent actions. Where is the gap? The author says in the new book:
“Witb this book, I wanted to create something that would help your success move from POSSIBLE to PROBABLE and eventually to INEVITABLE. The Miracle Equation is that process”.
Whoa! That is too big a promise! A PROCESS for Inevitable Success?
To begin with, The Miracle Equation seems simple enough: “Unwavering Faith + Extraordinary Effort”.
Simple, but elusive. FORGET about “Unwavering Faith”, do most of us have ANY faith in ANYTHING? And, we are talking about “Extraordinary Effort”, NOT MORE OF HARD WORK.
So, Miracle Equation remains elusive to most people. The author quotes St. Augustine:
“Miracles are not contrary to nature, but only contrary to what we know about nature”.
WHAT IS THERE TO KNOW ABOUT OUR NATURE? About miracle creating efforts? Quoting from the book, EXTRAORDINARY EFFORTS has three components:
- Actions that move you closer to your ideal results.
- Actions that will most likely take you out of your comfort zone.
- Consistent effort over an extended period of time (regardless of your results along the way).
Let us stop saying, “I TRIED MY BEST”. The author quotes James Allen:
“In ALL human affairs there ARE efforts, and there are results, and THE STRENGTH OF THE EFFORT IS THE MEASURE OF THE RESULT.”
SHALL WE GET ON TO MIRACULOUSLY MAXIMIZING OUR STRENGTHS, ENERGIES, EFFORTS AND RESULTS?
